On 5 April, the presidents of Belarus and Russia found ways to resolve the issue of the supply of Belarusian goods to Russia.
Representatives of Russia's Rosselkhoznadzor watchdog were personally invited to check the Belarusian companies in question. Groups have already started to work at factories in the Gomel and Brest regions.
But the head of the Federal Service - Sergei Dankvert - declined the invitation in a very clear form.
Sergei Dankvert, head of Rosselkhoznadzor:
I asked the leadership to take me away from this, because maybe I really am a bad person. Let them deal with that criminal case.
Apparently, such an ardent supporter of sanctions against Belarusian agricultural products understood responsibility for his statements or contrived violations Rosselkhoznador revealed.
The Belarusian side has repeatedly protested against Rosselkhoznador's ban on the export of Belarusian agricultural produce to Russia.
