Vladimir Voltchkov about Belarus v Austria match: We are preparing for left-handed tennis

Belarus will take on Austria in the second-round match of 2017 Davis Cup Europe/Africa Zone Group I. The draw is scheduled for April 6 and the games themselves begin on April 7.

Austrians count on the Meltzer brothers, Peya (26th in the doubles ranking) and its Julian Knowle (81st).

Alexander Peya, Austria:
Excellent organization, and we were ready for the courts, so nothing surprising for us.

The Belarusian team is strong enough, and we should be careful going into this game.

Belarus' roster is unchanged - Ilya Ivashka, Egor Gerasimov, Max Mirnyi and Yaroslav Shyla.

Austria are three notches lower than Belarus in the team ranking (34th).

Vladimir Voltchkov, Belarus men's tennis team captain:
We are preparing for a lot of left-handed tennis. We will, accordingly, adjust the next training sessions. The match will be very difficult.

If we add up the combined ranking, Belarus will have about 693 points and Austrians 372.

They are clear favorites in this match. But our team has proved many times that we can fight and win against the strongest teams. We are determined to do everything to win.

Max Mirnyi, Belarus:
Microclimate in the team is ideal. The work during the break, between these matches, is also going smoothly.

There is constant interaction between all members of our team.

Yaraslav Shyla, Belarus national team player in tennis:
In these matches, we'll use the invaluable experience of Max and move on, farther and farther.

On April 7, two singles games will played at the Republic Olympic Training Center in Minsk.
