Belarus’ hydropower plant project attracts Slovak businessmen

The hydropower plant project, which was developed in Vitebsk region, attracted Slovak businessmen. The energy sector is one of the top priorities of joint cooperation.

The Belarus-Slovakia business forum is being held in Minsk. Businessmen are discussing possibilities of extending bilateral cooperation. As many as 20 representatives of Slovak plants are taking part in the forum.

Jozef Migas, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Slovak Republic to the Republic of Belarus:
The issues concerning the energy sector were discussed most of all. Primarily, issues concerning nuclear power. Negotiations Were held in Minsk and in Vitebsk. The hydropower plant is a very interesting project. A specialist from Slovakia, who produces turbines, was here. It was defined that it is an extra component of cooperation in the energy and hydropower sectors.

Slovak businessmen also mentioned the quality of Belarusian food products and they are prepared to extend the range of Belarusian products at the Slovak market. A road map is being improved for a more successful cooperation of Belarus and Slovakia.
