Amendments suggested to Belarus' Copyright Law

The Upper House of Belarus’ Parliament started work on April 3. The Belarusian Parliamentary spring Session 2017 was traditionally opened by playing the national anthem.

As many as ten questions concerning the most important spheres of life of Belarusians are on the agenda of the senators’ first working day. Among the issues are the laws “About combating corruption” and “About social protection of disabled people”. What is more, the National Assembly Council of the Republic of Belarus initiates a series of amendments to the law “About copyright and the related rights”. These amendments are primarily focused on the interests of publishers.

One of these norms is the norm of free licenses. It gives the author a right to delegate his authority within the framework of exclusive right on product to an unlimited range of persons.
