Dynamo Brest snap up Junior Etoundi

Another international footballer will play in Belarus Football Championship. And again it's Dinamo Brest that upsets the Belarusian transfer market. On Thursday Dinamo signed Junior Etoundi. A native of Cameroon, he moved to Europe as a child.

He started his career in the youth teams of Metz and Strasbourg, where he was spotted by Dynamo scouts.

The contract with the 18-year-old midfielder ends in two years.

Junior Etoundi, FC Dynamo Brest:
I have come to Belarus to meet with the team. I was well received, it was very nice. When I talked to the coach, I realized that the team has very high goals and I liked it. I decided to stay and signed the deal. For me it's a good challenge, here I can learn a lot, maybe even more than in France. All this time, I've kept fit, worked tactically and with the ball, practiced twice a day and now I'm ready to play.

Sergei Kovalchuk, sporting director of FC Dynamo Brest:
We understand that the player is very young. We talked with him, he also understands that the progress might be slower than expected and that he is not guaranteed a place in the starting lineup. It will come through hard work. We hope that players who have gone through European football school will bring flavor to our championship.
