Belarusian embassy in Turkmenistan: interior and exterior

A complex of buildings of the Embassy of Belarus will open March 30 in Ashgabat. It is expected that taking part in the official opening ceremony will be Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko.

The Belarusian diplomacy headquarters is located in the so-called "embassy district" of the Turkmen capital. Nearby are embassies of countries with which Belarus traditionally maintains high-level relationships. Prior to that, diplomats, had to work in a small building in the old part of Ashgabat.

The construction of the embassy is yet another confirmation that Belarus has come to Turkmenistan for the sake of long-term cooperation.

Oleg Tabanyukhov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus in Turkmenistan:
Our head of state acted very wisely building the embassy. We have come to Central Asia forever. Here, next to us are countries such as Iran (80 million people), Turkey, Pakistan and China.

The diplomatic building was built in record short time.

Its construction and finishing took a little more than a year.

Outside the building is covered with snow-white marble respecting the national traditions of Turkmenistan. However, inside, you can see Belarusian color: furniture, carpets and chandeliers - all this was made in Belarus.
