On March 29, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko begins his official visit to Turkmenistan. The program is full of events and meetings. The head of state will hold talks with his counterpart Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow.
Belarus-Turkmenistan cooperation will be discussed in the "one on one" format and then the leaders will be joined by their delegations.
It is expected that the two leaders will open a complex of buildings of the Belarusian Embassy in Turkmenistan. On March 31, the heads of state, in a ceremony, will officially launch the Garlyk mining and processing plant.
Its construction in the Turkmen desert has recently been completed by Belarusian specialists. A large part of equipment installed at the plant was also made in Belarus. The Garlyk plant is one of the largest projects of Belarus in the sphere of export of services.
Its total cost is about $1 billion.
