Belarus' Ministry of Taxes and Duties: business inspections reduced by 10%

More independence to business. In 2016 alone the number of inspections by tax offices reduced by 10%. It was stated in the Tax and Duties Ministry of the Republic of Belarus. All in all tax inspectors checked on only 15,000 private businesses in 2016.

Additional measures to decrease tax burden on small businesses are now being developed.

Nikolai Poteyev, Director General of the controlling agency of the Taxes and Duties Ministry of the Republic of Belarus:
To improve the business climate in Belarus, the tax authorities have developed a project, which presupposes a decrease of the audited period of tax compliance for the business entity. At the moment this period is 10-15 days, and possibly, in some cases, it is more.

The number of administrative procedures has descended, but at the same time the sanitary norms have been simplified, and the employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations do not inspect plants any more.
