Belarus army men are testing the mortar system “Sani”. The system has high floatation, despite the fact that its size is a lot smaller than the previous models. Belarusian military men will compete in the International Army Games in Russia and show their skills of artillery fire using this equipment.
Aleksei Rakov, Deputy Artillery Group Commander:
The program is varied. It will be carried out in three stages. The first stage is special, where single and group training standards will be exercised. The second step is individual, where every mortar detachment will realize direct laying for line shooting, from AKSU-74 and rocket anti-tank launcher-7B. The last step is the race of every detachment, where each mortar detachment will be tested. The next stage will be the race of detachments, where each mortar system will be tested.
Wheeled mover is meant for transporting mortar systems manually. But despite its small size, the system is rather heavy and weighs 200 kg, that’s why a truck for transporting is included into the system.
