Belarus is interested in state transformation experience, which is happening in Kazakhstan. This was stated by Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko during a meeting with Nurlan Nigmatulin, Chairman of Majilis Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Both Belarus and Kazakhstan are longstanding strategic partners. Official Astana is at its political reload stage today. After adopting the new version of the Constitution, Kazakh lawmakers will have more powers.
Alexander Lukashenko, President of the Republic of Belarus:
Quite often I watch, analyze, and try to study the work experience of Kazakhstan, especially in the last couple of months, of the supreme authorities; primarily of the Kazakh President .This experience is very useful for Belarus. I suppose that these are very important steps for Kazakhstan, which the country does, first of all, in the name of preserving security, independence of the Republic. Kazakhstan undertakes different reforms in state structure, amending the Constitution, and necessarily strengthening it all by certain economical steps. It is very important. It’s a good example for the others. Well done to you, that in such a difficult time for everyone, and a difficult time for Kazakhstan as well, you preserve the unity of the state, because the country is big, difficult events are happening around. Of course, no one will live Belarus or Kazakhstan alone. Kazakhstan is in the center of Eastern civilization, Belarus is in the center of Europe. It is natural that one way or the other all the waves are descended on us. Belarus understands and knows how uneasy it is today and in Kazakhstan as well, especially when Belarus’ main partner is going through hard and tough times. The election campaign in Russia plays its role in this very situation. It won’t be easy. Of course, Belarus is feeling very worried for the union, for the nearest perspectives of the countries, that’s without saying anything about strategic issues.
Nurlan Nigmatulin, Chairman of Majilis Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan:
Belarus and Kazakhstan will mark the 25th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations in September, 2017. I would like to emphasize, that very good contacts have been established between Belarus and Kazakhstan in these years. We have discussed and defined all the issues of our practical steps in intergovernmental activities. You are absolutely right. There are no unsolved questions, neither in the intergovernmental dialogue between Belarus and Kazakhstan, nor in the integrational intergovernmental arenas. The carried out work is coherent and synchronized. It will keep on going in the future as well.
Belarus and Kazakhstan are longstanding strategies. As many as eight joint assembly plants of Belarusian machinery are functioning in Kazakhstan. More plants are planned to be opened there in the nearest future. Kazakh partners are interested in high tech manufactures of Belarusian plants.
Astana will host the International Exposition “Expo 2017”. Belarus was one of the first countries which confirmed its participation in the event.
