The Delegation of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly headed by Chairwoman Christine Muttonen is arriving in Minsk March 15. The foreign visitors will hold a meeting at the Belarusian parliament.
They will discuss the preparation for the 26th session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, which is set to be held in Minsk in July 2017. It is expected that the program of the meeting will be agreed during the current visit.
In addition, today the parties will sign an agreement to determine the preparation plan.

Today we are meeting the president of the Parliamentary Assembly Bureau. We need to sign an agreement on the PA session between the two chambers of our Parliament and the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly. This is an important document that clarifies certain details. To put it simply, we take responsibility for part of questions. The second part of the responsibility is taken by the OSCE PA. This document defines the areas of responsibility. When it is signed, it will be clear that we are can start, with full dedication, the implementation of the plan.
The forthcoming session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly will be held in Belarus for the first time. Participating in it will be about 700 delegates from 57 countries.
