Improving the efficiency of the labor market, income growth and improvement of social support are the priorities for the Ministry of Labour and Social Security, said Deputy Prime Minister Vasily Zharko presenting new head Irina Kostevich as the Labor Minister.
She was appointed the day before. The new minister is well versed in the socio-economic environment. She started as a specialist to finally become the first deputy chairwoman of the National Statistics Committee. Prior to that she also held the post of the Deputy Minister of Economy.

The main problems to be solved is what is required from the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection: demographic security, living standards, labor market and social protection.
Irina Kostevich came to substitute Valery Malashko, who was appointed Minister of Health.
