Constitution is the basis for the rule of law. Today Belarus marks Day of Constitution. The country's main document was adopted March 15, 1994.
It is the Constitution that guarantees Belarusians their right to a dignified life, work, and education.
It also proclaims the main priorities of the country's development.
According to the basic law, Belarus is a sovereign and independent state, which main value is man. It is no coincidence that a large part of the Constitution is devoted to mechanisms of social protection.
The document was updated and supplemented by the results of referendums two times.
The current version of the Constitution consists of 9 chapters and nearly a hundred articles.
