Sanitary standards for food service facilities in Belarus have been simplified. The main changes relate to cooking rules.
In particular, the previous edition of the rules stated that the cutting of meat, poultry and meat processing was permitted only in separated premises. In the new document, this restriction has been lifted in respect of poultry meat.
Requirements regarding kitchen utensils and appliances have also been simplified: now you can use any material permitted for use in contact with foodstuffs.
Also, eatery owners are permitted to determine the number of sinks. Before, their number was strictly regulated.
