The chief financial regulator of Belarus, the National Bank, is reducing the refinancing rate further to 15%.
The decision shall enter into force on 15 March 2017.
This is the third decline in the interest rate since January 1, 2017. At the beginning of 2017, the refinancing rate was 18%.
Slow inflation, as well as the stability of the foreign currency and deposit markets has allowed the regulator to lower the rate this year by three points.
