The entire heritage of Francysk Skoryna (was a Belarusian humanist, physician, translator and one of the first book printers in Eastern Europe) will be gathered in one edition. The personnel of the National Library of the Republic of Belarus together with their colleagues from world museums and archives are working on a big project. The aim of this project is not only to preserve the historical memory, but to show how deep the influence of the Belarusian first printer on the culture of those days was.

It will be a very important project. We will try to gather the books of Fransysk Skoryna, which are kept in Russia, Poland, Ukraine, LIITERALLY IN Belarus, Lithuania, Slovenia, the Czech Republic, Germany, Great Britain, and other countries. Than we will be able to show this world heritage of Skoryna in just one edition.
The book publication will be dedicated to the 500th anniversary of Belarusian book printing, and it promises to be one of the most important cultural events of Belarus.
