Belarusian and Georgian delegations discussed the future projects on 2 March. One of the main tasks is to increase trade turnover.
And it is quite doable, says Belarusian Prime Minister. Last year, the Belarusian Embassy in Tbilisi was opened, and today there are all prerequisites to reach significant amounts in mutual trade. Such meetings should help in overcoming various issues.
Andrei Kobyakov, Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus:
The level of relations between our countries allows for growth in key areas of our cooperation: industry, agriculture, petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals and humanitarian cooperation. Unfortunately, Belarusian brands (MTZ, Mogilevliftmash and MAZ) that go on the market in your country spend a lot of time and effort to find a reliable and committed partner. Therefore, your recommendations are important for us. In turn, we invite Georgian business to Belarus.
Giorgi Margvelashvili, President of Georgia:
The past year was noted by the increase in trade and tourism flows between Georgia and Belarus. I am sure that this will continue. The deepening of trade and economic and cultural relations, which we observe, is for the benefit of our nations and the well-being of our countries.
