On March 2, Giorgi Margvelashvili visited the Belarusian National Technical University (BNTU), where he met with teachers and students.
The distinguished guest noted that the Transcaucasian country is now actively developing infrastructure, but has faced with the problem of lack of technical expertise.
Colleagues from the Belarusian National Technical University are ready to share their experience, including in the field of training. Today, a number of joint educational projects are in the pipeline.
Boris Khrustalev, rector of Belarusian National Technical University:
For two years young people train in Georgia itself and at the same time they also learn the Russian language, and then come to Minsk for senior courses. Here we study subjects deeper, first of all regarding the real economy.
Today, Giorgi Margvelashvili was awarded a diploma of honorary professor of the BNTU university. This title was given to the Georgian leader for the great support in the development of friendly relations with Belarus and partnerships with the university.
Giorgi Margvelashvili thanked the university staff for such a decision and promised to continue the support.
