Vitebsk Museum of Militia was opened on 28 February, 2017. There are three halls, where you can follow the entire history of Vitebsk militia, from the governorate times of the city to the present day. Apart from photographs, documents and awards, a reconstructed cabinet of district militia chief of the BSSR and the working place of a controller of the 1970’s can be seen in the museum.
You can even take photos with weapons and mannequins in militiaman uniform. You can touch and try on most of the showpieces.

A placemaking sign with the names of officers killed in the line of duty was opened near Vitebsk Department of Internal Affairs on the 28th of February, 2017.
