Vadim Devyatovskiy runs bare-chested in Race of Real Men in Minsk

On February 23, which is Fatherland Defenders Day and Men's Day in Belarus, men in Belarus' Minsk once again proved their courage and recklessness.

Ignoring the February cold and rain about 700 men in Minsk took part in the Race for Real Men.

In the event organized by the Belarusian Athletics Federation, men ran through the center of the Belarus capital near the Palace of Sports bare-chested.

The head of the Federation, former athlete Vadim Devyatovskiy has not stood aside.

Vadim Devyatovskiy, chairman of the Belarusian Athletics Federation:
I was surprised by how fast I ran it all. With the energy given to us by those spectators I would run more and more.

Participants from Belarus, Ukraine, Russia and Kazakhstan overcame a distance of either 1km or 3.5km.

These men confirmed their status of real defenders.
