Dinamo Minsk were crushed by Russia's Lokomotiv of Yaroslavl in the second match of the first round of the Gagarin Cup 2:7 (0:1, 0:4, 2:2).
In the first period, the hosts scored only once through the efforts of Staffan Kronwall, but in the second they totally outplayed the Minsk club.
From 27 to 39 minutes the goals were scored by Artem Ilienko, Jakub Nakládal, Egor Averin and Dmitry Lugin, the latter scoring to substitution Kevin Lalande, who replaced Ben Scrivensa in the Dinamo goal.
The third period was also bad for Dinamo, with Andrei Loktionov scoring during the periods when Dinamo had man advantage. Thereafter, the Yaroslavl club completely relaxed and missed two pucks. Dmitry Korobov and Matt Ellison netted to make it 2:7.
After two matches HC Lokomotiv is 2:0 ahead in the series until four wins. The next match will take place in Minsk on February 25.
