Students’ team movement in Belarus begins on the 22nd of February, 2017. Improvised open days took place in universities all over the country. Activists helped young people and newcomers decide on what they want to do in summer, informed about all the peculiarities of students’ team weekdays and helped to fill in employment forms.
As all young people say, being part of this movement doesn’t only give you practice, but gives you a possibility to earn some money too.
Kristina Davydenkova, second-year student of Minsk State Linguistic University:
Students want some independence and to have some spending money as well. It is some kind of pride to be able to spend your earnings. It is also a possibility to make new friends.
Artur Kozlov, fourth-year student of Belarusian National Technical University:
For some students it’s a possibility to do practical training at university, and open the door for new opportunities. To make new acquaintances and earn some money.
Some 70 thousand people throughout the whole country joined the students’ team movement in 2016. A larger sum of money could be earnt on building the Belarusian nuclear power plant, modernizing Minsk Dinamo Stadium or constructing the second ring road.
