President Lukashenko meets with chief editor Narodnaya Volya newspaper Iosif Seredich

Recent national issues were the subject of conversation between Alexander Lukashenko and chief editor of the newspaper Narodnaya Volya Iosif Seredich.

The journalist asked the President about a personal meeting during the "Big conversation", which took place on February 3. And today at the Palace of Independence the Head of State met with the Mr Seredich.

In fact, this meeting was a continuation of the serious conversation of February 3.

Iosif Seredich, chief editor of the newspaper Narodnaya Volya:
Thank you for finding the opportunity to take me. I know your busy schedule. I think that we can discuss together the set of questions with which I have come. It is relevant not so much for me, but for all Belarusians in general. And my concern about what we experience today, what can happen tomorrow led me to you.

The conversation lasted for almost two hours. During it the sides affected both political and economic issues.

The newspaper Narodnaya Volya has been published since 1995. Its one-time circulation in January amounted to 25,000 copies.

Iosif Seredich, chief editor of the newspaper Narodnaya Volya:
The conversation was very open, very sincere. At the meeting we raised issues of non-personal values and the general state and national issues. Of course, today Mr Lukashenko is not the same person I used to know almost 30 years ago. This is the president with big experience and great achievements. The most important thing is that the person worries about what is happening in our Belarus.
