Belarus determined to complete Garlyk plant in Turkmenistan on time

Belarus will perform on time and in full its obligations regarding the construction of the Garlyk mining and processing enterprise producing potash fertilizers. In the southeast of Turkmenistan, Belarusian builders are erecting the large-scale production facility in line with a turnkey contract.

The cost of the plant is more than a billion dollars, with the Belarusian Potash Company to be engaged in the export of the plant’s products.

In 2016, there were serious differences at the construction site that jeopardized the implementation of the project.

Anatoly Kalinin, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus:
There was no such major project in the history of Belarus. The export of construction services and the building of a facility worth a billion dollars. Therefore, we treat this project with full responsibility. We have resolved almost all disagreements and now the work in nearing completion.

In general, the work of the construction industry in 2016 is assessed as satisfactory. The main task for the next 12 months is the reduction of the cost of 1 sq.m. of housing and access to new markets.
