Belarus sticks to a most responsible approach to the conduct of the Second European games, said Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov at a session of the organizing committee, which is preparing the sports event.
Earlier, the European Olympic Committees leadership praised the level of sports facilities in Minsk.
Andrei Kobyakov, Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus:
Our country has experience in organizing major international sporting events and all conditions for their holding. The task is difficult, but I am sure that we will do it at a decent level. Within three months we will adopt a plan of action. The draft has been prepared and sent to stakeholders.
Belarus will host the Second European Games in 2019. The organizers haven't yet named the exact number of sports disciplines and the number of participating nations. The previous European Games in Baku attracted attention of the entire planet, not just the European part of the continent.
