Belarus-China relations are now reflected in the memories of Belarusian diplomats. A book dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries was presented in the Friendship House on January 23.
The memories of five ambassadors of Belarus in China are collected in the publication.
The diplomats have been working on the book during the year. They divided it proportionally: one year of service in China equals to eight pages of the book.
Anatoly Tozik, director of the National Institute of Confucius of the BSU, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to China (2006-2011):
I was in Shenzhen. Night was falling. I drove around the city and saw the neon sign Minsk. It turned out that it was a great park in the center of which stood the aircraft carrier Minsk. So this is how I found Minsk in China.
Lilia Ananich, Minister of Information of the Republic of Belarus:
This is the third similar project. There is a book called China Through the Eyes of Belarusians. It is translated into Belarusian and Chinese languages.
