Vyacheslav Danilovich, director of Institute of History of NAS of Belarus, the candidate of historical sciences, associate professor:
We have planned many events: conferences, seminars, round tables. I would like to note that we are planning to hold the scientific conference, significant for our country’s history. Such events as the international conference devoted to the 950th anniversary of Minsk and another one, devoted to the 100th anniversary of the October Revolution are also of great importance.

We have also planned a series of publications. First of all it is a three-volume History of Belarusian Statehood, providing the history of our state from antiquity to the present. 2017 is the year of the 500th anniversary of Belarusian and East Slavic book-printer Francysk Skaryna, and therefore we are preparing a special collection of documents and materials about him.

Olga Levko, head of the center of archeology and ancient history of Belarus of Institute of History of NAS of Belarus, doctor of historical sciences:
We will continue to explore the archaeological site Kordon. We started the exploration works in 2015. We made sure that it is necessary to work with it seriously, what we did in 2016. The early Slavs is a very important topic. Even our excavations confirm that Slavs came to the territory of Belarus in the 8th century and they had already been introduced into the local population and had implemented their own culture.
