German Oberhof continues to host the fourth stage of the Biathlon World Cup. On January 7, shooting skiers of both sexes determined the strongest in the pursuit.
On the men's side, the main favorite of the season - Frenchman Martin Fourcade - once again confirmed his high status. From eighth position at the start he got to the finish first.
Second-placed Arnd Pfeiffer from Germany lost to Martin a minute and nine seconds. The third step of the podium was Italian, with Dominik Windisch on it. Belarus' Sergey Bocharnikov lost more than 4.5 minutes and became 36th. Roman Eletnov and did not finish at all.
In the women's pursuit, Belarus did not wait for successes this day.
In her second race since returning to biathlon Darya Domracheva allowed six misses and eventually became 34th,
while Irina Krivko retreated to 41st position starting 18th.
Marie Dorin Habert celebrated a victory this time. She left behind Kaisa Mäkäräinen and Gabriela Koukalova, who were higher after yesterday's sprint.
