Charity during 2017 Christmas Ice Hockey Tournament in Minsk

Participants of the International Amateur Ice Hockey Tournament have found time for good deeds amid sports battles. This tradition was born five years ago. On Christmas Eve, athletes go to children with presents.

This time, the guests were welcomed in Molodechno boarding school, where visually impaired children study. They were given laptops, tablets and air hockey.

In gratitude, the children staged a musical performance. Also, the athletes were treated to Belarusian national dishes.

Hamel Al Kubeysi, deputy head of the Federation of Ice Sports United Arab Emirates:
We arrived in Belarus not only for the sake of ice hockey, we also came here to see friends, colleagues, talk with your kids. You know, this charity visit is one of the most important points in the program of our Christmas visit.

Ksenia Golub, Assistant Chairwoman of the President's Sports Club:
Hockey players themselves are interested in the campaign. They prepare in advance. Some even maintain contact with previous children's homes, boarding schools, exchange emails. They get great pleasure from communicating with Belarusian children.
