Snowstorms and -27°C expected in Belarus by Christmas

Everyone who loves ice hockey can themselves grab skates these days and get out on the open ice. January frosts are gaining momentum. By evening January 5, the thermometer will show around -16°C.

Belarus was covered with a veil of snow the night before. The cyclone has brought snow to the country. Utilities services continue to clear roads and courtyards. Transport is coming on schedule but there might be minor delays.

Belarusians are preparing for a cold snap.

By weekend, when Orthodox Belarusians will celebrate Christmas, the temperature is expected to drop to minus 27°C.

Frosty winter increasingly surprises Belarusians, while earlier this was considered a normal weather.
