Russia may scale down military presence in Syria

A breakthrough has happened in the agreements on Syria. The parties to the conflict have signed several truce documents.

In just a few hours, a truce is expected to come into force in that country. It was promised that everyone would support it but the Syrian government forces do not rule out that the militants may try to disrupt the ceasefire.

These agreements are not only a package of temporary measures but the start of the negotiation process, which should put an end to the war in the Arab Republic.

It has lasted almost six years. During this time, hundreds of thousands of people died, not to mention the fact that the conflict in Syria has entailed migration crisis in the EU.

Russia has stated that it intends to reduce its military presence in Syria if the fragile and transitory peace can develop into a permanent one.
