Alexander Lukashenko expresses condolences to Russian president over Tu-154 crash

The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, expressed deep condolences to the President of Russia, the Russian people, as well as relatives and friends of the Tu-154 crash victims. He did this on behalf of the Belarusian people and himself.

"The feeling of sorrow and compassion reigns in our country today. A message about the crash of the Tu-154 en route from Sochi to Syria has not left any Belarusian indifferent. This tragedy is our common pain and Belarus today mourns with Russia. In this difficult moment, we are next to you, fully sharing this terrible grief.

The world of culture has suffered a big loss: among the dead are members of the famous team of the Academic Song and Dance Ensemble of the Russian Army named after Alexandrov, including its artistic director Valery Khalilov. It is an irreparable loss for Russia, our common and the whole world of art," reads the message of condolences.
