Belarus, Russia to settle oil dispute in coming days

Head of Rosselkhoznadzor should refrain from statements on the Internet on the quality of Belarusian products, said the head of the Russian diplomatic mission in Belarus commenting on the situation with supplies of Belarusian foodstuffs.

Alexander Surikov noted the highest quality of Belarus' food products. More than one million tonnes of meat and dairy products were delivered to Russia in 2016.

Alexander Surikov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Belarus:
Mr. Dankvert checked the vehicle and returned it to the factory sending all relevant documents to the Belarusian ministry. He also wrote in social networks. Additionally, I guess. It causes some irritation. But social networks is not the Russian state media.

Mr Dankvert will probably be reprimanded for this.

1.1 million tons of meat and dairy alone crossed the Russian border over the 10 months of 2016. This is a huge volume of supplies. Rosselkhoznadzor returned only 0.7% of it. This suggests that the food supplied by Belarus is of the highest quality.

Also, Alexander Surikov said that Belarus and Russia will sign a document on the settlement of disputes of oil and gas in the coming days.

The diplomat noted that the parties had come to a compromise in oil and gas supplies. The negotiations are currently underway. After the signing of the document Russian oil deliveries will be resumed.
