Belarusian products are in demand in the Middle East market and the UAE company RACS is ready to speed up the certification process. Belarus will ship Halal products to Muslim countries' markets.
Requirements to such goods are sufficiently high. Production technologies imply the absence of ingredients prohibited for use in food by Muslims. Belarus will also need to carefully observe hygiene rules and treat animals compassionately.
On 14 December a memorandum was signed in Minsk that will facilitate the certification of Belarusian enterprises and the promotion of Halal products in the Middle East market.
Hamed Jamal, executive director of RACS (UAE):
The volumes are very large, because the UAE is the center of logistics and trade for the East and for Africa. You have natural products. This is what we need in the world today. Halal is not an especially difficult procedure if you know the standard and work according to it.
