MAZ conducts school bus crash-test

The new model of the Belarusian school bus has been tested for durability. The crash test was conducted in Russia.

The impact affected only the body of the vehicle. Mannequins on passenger seats, with seat belts on, were not injured. If there were people in the bus during the experiment, they would not have received serious injuries and bruises. MAZ will start producing this make of bus in Minsk in 2017.

Alexander Skakun, design engineer, Minsk Automobile Plant:
The bus is non-repairable, but all the passengers survived. The school bus for rural areas with high passing ability can go to places where simple low-floor buses do not get. Initially it was made as a school bus for Belarus, but it also corresponds to the customs regulations, so we can export it to some former USSR countries.
