Belarus supports over 60,000 Ukrainian asylum-seekers in recent years

In recent years, Belarus has supported more than 60,000 Ukrainians who arrived in the country in search of asylum. They receive the necessary medical care from the budget, while their children, on a par with Belarusians, enroll in preschool education and schools.

The Ukraine crisis and global policy in this area was discussed in Minsk by experts from 10 countries at a conference dedicated to migration and demographic development.

Alexander Rumak, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Belarus:
Labor migrants come to Belarus from the PRC and Central Asian states. But I would like to point out that issues of labor migration in Belarus are regulated and decisions regarding the employment of these citizens are made taking into account the state of the labor market.
