Domracheva wants to return to biathlon after childbirth

The Belarusian biathlon team will go to the final training camp before the World Cup, which starts in two weeks in Östersund.

Belarusian sportsmen will spend their last stage of training in Sjusjoen, Norway. A biathlon tournament that is considered to be the unofficial opening of a new season is taking place there now.

Alexander Syman, Belarusian men’s biathlon team head coach:
Tracks are already prepared for the competitions in Norway, which is why we will go there with great pleasure. The snow is real, not artificial. All the team will be present. Nevertheless, we’ll select those who will participate in the World Cup and IBU Cup. We need support of our fans and the whole Belarus as well.

Nadezhda Pisareva, Belarusian women’s biathlon team member:
I want to thank everyone who supports us now and will continue to do this. We will try to do our best.

Darya Domracheva, three-time Olympic champion in biathlon, is already in Sjusjoen.

She is having her first individual training here after the birth of daughter Ksenia.

Both Belarusian and Norwegian specialists are helping Darya to get in shape and return to big sport.

It is planned that Darya will join the Belarusian biathlon team in January 2017.
