Union State Council of Ministers to be held in December

Belarus and Russia will improve the mechanism of decision making concerning joint programs.

On November 14, the preparation to the up-coming Council of Ministers of the Union State was discussed. It is planned to hold at the beginning of December, but the exact day is still under discussion. There are 24 issues on the agenda. One of the key issues is establishing of equal conditions of competition for manufacturers of both countries. It is planned to discuss three programs of the Union State.

Grigory Rapota, State Secretary of the Union State of Belarus and Russia:
We paid a lot of attention to the formation of the Union State programs, and we are unanimous on the fact that the mechanism for the adoption of these programs is imperfect. It takes a long time to coordinate programs, and the delay is not always justified. There are too many participants in the negotiations. We need to do something about it.
