New vision of usual sceneries: Exhibition Colors of Belarus opens in Minsk

Belarusian artists presented their own vision of Belarus’ sceneries on November 3. The exhibition Colors of Belarus opened in Minsk. Usual sceneries were transformed into extraordinary art works.

Vasily Yasyuk, artist, professor of the Belarusian State Academy of Arts:
I saw this colorful autumn and I immediately wanted to draw it.

Belarusian artist Vasily Yasyuk has been in many countries of the world. He was painting sceneries of Europe, Asia and the USA. However, there is no country that could inspire the artist more than Belarus.

Vasily Yasyuk, artist, professor of the Belarusian State Academy of Arts:
It could be hot and cold in Belarus. Winter, autumn, spring and summer are completely different seasons in Belarus. People think that it is always misty in Belarus. I wanted to show that Belarus has a lot of bright colors.

There is a completely different vision of Belarus’ sceneries in the works of other artist.

Yury Khilko, artist:
Out country has a very somber range of colors, the colors are very similar in their saturation.

Belarus has various colors on the paintings of Belarusian artists. Two artists have sometimes very different visions of the same places. However, there is only one motherland and it’s impossible to diminish the beauty of it.
