Belarus diversifying oil purchases to avoid excessive dependence on Russian market

Belarus has resumed oil supplies from Azerbaijan. Almost 85,000 tons of the raw material were already unloaded at the port of Odessa.

The oil was delivered here by a tanker. Oil is designed for processing at the Mozyr Oil Refinery. Technological equipment of the enterprise allows working with different varieties of oil. 

As Belneftekhim oil company explained, it is working out various supply options due to the fact that not enough Russian oil is delivered to Belarusian refineries.

Supplies of oil to Belarus' refineries in the third quarter of 2016 have decreased by more than 2 million tons.
