CSTO Council in Yerevan: Leaders of six member countries to determine priorities

Strengthening the external borders of the CSTO, expanding the cooperation and measures to combat global terrorism. The leaders of the six countries participating in the military-political alliance will determine the priorities of the collective security on October 14 in Yerevan. The President of Belarus is in Armenia on a working visit.

Prior to the meeting at the level of Heads of States, strengthening of the military and technical cooperation, joint efforts on ensuring the border security were discussed at a joint meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers, Council of Defense Ministers and Committee of Secretaries of Security Councils of the CSTO member states.

At the moment, the issues of the collective security in the region are addressed by the Presidents of all member states.

The Presidency of Belarus in the CSTO will begin today.

Alexander Lukashenko will announce the priorities of the organization for the near future. It is planned to sign about 20 agreements as the result of the meeting.
