Kurgan region of Russia is ready to buy 100 units of Belarusian equipment per year. Farmers from that Russian region are already familiar with Belarusian tractors. There are about 2,500 of them in the tractor fleet of the agricultural region.
The Russian guests are also interested in machines for the timber industry, as well as some types of municipal and road-building machinery. On October 13, the delegation visited the enterprise Amkodor and perhaps soon it may sign some new contracts.
Sergey Chebykin, Deputy Governor of the Kurgan region of the Russian Federation:
We should at least double our trade with Belarus by the end of the year.
Our delegation includes not only officials, but also a very large number of business representatives. Of course, businesses will make their choice on their own. Our annual needs? We are ready to buy about 100 pieces of Belarusian equipment per year.
Valery Ivankovich, director general of Amkodor:
The equipment we produce and those types of work that they do in road construction, municipal services, particularly in the forestry sector, are not represented in their market. Therefore, I hope that we will fix this thanks to deliveries of our machinery. There is an obvious interest and there is an economic component present.
