Inter-regional cooperation is a step towards the strengthening of Belarusian-Russian relations. The governor of Kurgan region has come to Minsk to discuss the prospects of cooperation, including in trade.
Together with the head of the Russian region are high-ranking officials and heads of large enterprises of Kurgan region. The Kurgan delegation is going to hold negotiations with the leadership of Belarus as well as visit a number of industrial enterprises. Kurgan region is an agricultural region. Farmland occupies almost half of its area. Therefore
the visitors' special interest concerns Belarusian agricultural machinery manufacturers.
Following the visit, the parties plan to sign a document for the development of trade-economic, R&D and cultural cooperation for the coming years.
