Yesterday Alexander Lukashenko and Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif agreed to cooperate on the principles of mutual trust and reach for close cooperation with third countries. They also talked about the establishment of joint ventures in the food sector.

Belarus and Pakistan should be more active
in developing scientific and technical cooperation and during this visit open the Belarusian-Pakistan Center for the coordination of scientific-technical and innovation cooperation.
During the negotiations, we have reached understanding that we will strengthen collaboration in agricultural and industrial cooperation in the near future, will exchange visits of experts to expand these areas of cooperation. We will take in the near future concrete steps to enhance
cooperation between banks, light industry enterprises, forestry as well as increase collaboration in customs affairs, standardization and certification.
At the meeting, the two presidents announced that Belarus and Pakistan must come to the level of political relations. Economic aspects were discussed at a business and investment forum. At its opening, Alexander Lukashenko said that in the next four years the countries are ready to hit a turnover of $1 billion.
Belarus may become a window to Europe for Pakistan, the Belarusian leader added.
