Belarusians will build roads in Russia. Administration of Lipetsk Region of Russia visited new facilities in Minsk and the Minsk region, in particular the second ring road, and praised the level of work.
In addition to roads the parties are interested in the promotion of engineering products. A sales office for sales of Belarus-made machinery is already operating in the Lipetsk region.
In general, the bilateral trade turnover increased by 8% since the beginning of 2016 and exceeded $124 million.
Andrei Kozoderov, deputy head of administration of the Lipetsk region of the Russian Federation:
We looked at the quality, at approaches. We can really create a joint venture, so that road construction in the Lipetsk region becomes of the same quality as in Minsk. We have needs, we are developing dynamically, so I think that this area would be a valuable addition to all the existing projects.
Edvard Matulis, deputy minister of antitrust and trade of the Republic of Belarus:
If there is road construction, our machinery will also be involved. Because they will need appropriate road construction equipment. This, too, will contribute to increased supplies to the Lipetsk region.
