Alexander Lukashenko to hold talks with Xi Jinping September 29

The visit of President of Belarus to China continues. Board number 1 landed at Beijing airport. The Belarus head of state was met with red carpet and a guard of honor.

On September 29 in Beijing Mr Lukashenko is going to hold talks with President of China Xi Jinping.

After the meeting the sides are expected to sign about 30 documents on the development of cooperation in political, economic and social spheres. A number of important bilateral meetings are also planned.

Alexander Lukashenko will visit Peking University, where he will meet with students and the top management of the university.

The visit of Alexander Lukashenko to China will be ninth in history, with the status "state visit" indicating serious intentions of Belarus.

Last time Chinese President Xi Jinping came to Belarus for a three-day visit in May 2015. Relations between the two countries are 25 years old but they have received special importance in recent years.
