President of Belarus has gone on a state visit to China. The Belarusian leader's plane headed for Beijing from the national airport Minsk.
The President's visit will last 3 days. In the capital of China, Mr Lukashenko is going to hold talks with President Xi Jinping.
After the meeting the sides are expected to sign about 30 documents on the development of cooperation in political, economic and social spheres.
A number of important bilateral meetings are also planned. The President of Belarus will visit Peking University, where he is expected to communicate with students and the university management.
This visit to China will be the ninth in the history of independent Belarus.
Chinese President Xi Jinping visited Belarus with a three-day visit in May 2015.
Relations between the two countries are only 25 years old, and they have gained special importance in recent years. China and Belarus are linked by dozens of successful projects.
One of them is the Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park Great Stone. It has been called the pearl of the Silk Road Economic Belt, which China is now busy creating.
