It will now be possible to monitor Belarusian NPP construction from Vienna

Information boards, on which you can monitor the progress of the Belarusian nuclear power plant construction, will open in Vienna on September 27. Presentations will also acquaint you with the information centers on nuclear energy, which are operating in Minsk and Astravyets. The process of staff training is also open to the world community.

The 60th IAEA General Conference in Austria is bringing together more than 2,000 participants from 168 countries. Availability of radiation medicine, rational use of natural resources and the use of nuclear technology in agriculture are items of the Belarusian program that specialists intend to discuss with colleagues in the coming days.

Mikhail Mahadyuk, Deputy Minister of Energy of the Republic of Belarus:
The workshops will address cooperation in the field of nuclear security training. IAEA experts who visited us praised the project in Belarus. And they asked about our Belarusian experience in building the infrastructure for the development of a nuclear power program in the country. They also noted the successful work of the Republic of Belarus in that direction.
