French President Francois Hollande and German Chancellor Angela Merkel are ready to continue work on the full implementation of the Minsk agreements on Ukraine. The two leaders have made a joint statement on this.
The fact is that France and Germany are concerned about the security situation in the east of Ukraine, especially along the contact line. They support the cease-fire in the Donbass in connection with the beginning of the academic year.
An agreement was reached recently in Minsk during the trilateral contact group talks to settle the situation in the east of Ukraine. Parties to the conflict have reaffirmed adherence to the cease-fire.
