Alexander Minenok to represent Belarus at 2016 Junior Eurovision Song Contest

Twelve-year-old Alexander Minenok will represent Belarus in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest that will take place in Malta.

Alexander sidestepped Olga Konovalova, a thirteen-year-old singer from Mogillev.

As the voting ended in a draw between Alexander and Olga, both got 20 points. Olga Konovalova won the televote, the professional jury voted for Alexander Minenok. In the repeat vote, most of the jury members gave their vote to Alexander and his song “Muzyka moikh pobed” (Music of my victories).

Alexander Minenok won numerous music contests. He was a participant of the international contest New Wave. Moreover, he was studying in the academy of Igor Krutoy.

Belarus occupies the first place among all the countries that participate in the contest. For the last 13 years, representatives of Belarus won the first place twice, once the second place, and the third place twice.
